Layla Dotson Lumpkin
SECRETARY
Layla Dotson Lumpkin is a partner in the Corporate Transactions & Securities Practice at Thompson Hine LLP. She focuses her legal practice on venture capital and emerging company transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Layla provides counsel (including as outside general counsel) throughout the business lifecycle, from formation to growth, and at maturity.
Layla supports her community as an active member of the Junior League of Houston and Impact100. She is a member of the board of directors of The Gray Matter Experience and previously served as Associate Board Chair for a Chicago-based nonprofit that provides resources to social entrepreneurs.
Layla received a Law Degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from Florida A&M University. Prior to attending law school, she worked in Internal Audit in the Finance and Accounting function at a global consumer products company.
Layla currently resides in Houston with her husband and their three children.
