When we look at the retail industry's C-suite representation, where women of color make up only 5.9% of leadership positions, we recognize this isn't about a shortage of talent - it's about opportunity and access.

The WOC Retail Alliance (WOCRA) was established to create meaningful pathways for women of color in retail, from entry-level positions, where they currently represent 21% of the workforce, to the highest levels of corporate leadership.

TESTIMONIALS

to connect with visionary leaders and governance experts

I am deeply honored to have been invited by WOC Retail Alliance (WOCRA) to attend the African American Directors Forum (AADF), hosted by Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD).

This forum provided a unique opportunity to connect with visionary leaders and governance experts who are paving the way for greater diversity and inclusion in corporate boardrooms.

The discussions on strategic governance, risk management, and board leadership resonated deeply with my own experiences and ambitions, reinforcing the importance of diverse perspectives in driving meaningful change.

My key takeaway from the event is that the power of collective knowledge and diverse leadership is critical in shaping the future of business. It was inspiring to witness the commitment of both WELD and AADF to fostering an inclusive environment where African American leaders can thrive and contribute to the success of organizations on a global scale.
