I really enjoyed the WOC event Managing the Shift conversation about navigating changes in the corporate environment as women of color. It’s so important to convene and connect about how we move through working spaces and when it shifts, how we remain agile and adaptable. With the adoption of AI more regularly in corporate spaces, this conversation was even more relevant for how we lean in and grow with the ever-changing dynamics of the corporate structure. This forum provided a unique opportunity to connect with visionary leaders and governance experts who are paving the way for greater diversity and inclusion in corporate boardrooms. The discussions on strategic governance, risk management, and board leadership resonated deeply with my own experiences and ambitions, reinforcing the importance of diverse perspectives in driving meaningful change. My key takeaway from the event is that the power of collective knowledge and diverse leadership is critical in shaping the future of business. It was inspiring to witness the commitment of both WELD and AADF to fostering an inclusive environment where African American leaders can thrive and contribute to the success of organizations on a global scale.
