Megan Libby’s 24-year career has been devoted to retail, her love of service and the customer ingrained during her first jobs in restaurants. A natural leader, Megan is driven by a passion for engaging team members’ strengths and aligning them with departmental and organizational goals. Adept at navigating complex, matrixed organizations, she empowers sustainable, cross-functional and global initiatives. In her roles at LVMH group, her teams won the President’s award, Innovation award, Values-Based Leadership award, and launched three LXPs that went global. Her teams are recognized as change agents for championing a culture of coaching, inclusion, learning and development that drives business results—and have fun celebrating success together! During the tumultuous times of 2020, given that LVMH had no head of D&I, Megan was asked to step in to support the employees of LVMH group. While challenging, through broad-reaching programming and Listening Sessions, Megan was credited with having unprecedented impact on inclusion, mobility, retention and creating a sense of belonging and brand appreciation across all Maisons during the pandemic. She believes that organizational success happens through people, not plans, and is considered an expert in change management. Prior to her years leading strategic HR functions at PVH and LVMH, Ms. Libby held diverse roles in the Wines & Spirits sector, bringing her international lens to multiple leadership roles in Operations and Beverage Management at national restaurant groups, as well as roles in PR, Marketing, Journalism and Brand Development. Her strong written and oral communication skills paired with empathy make her a sought-after negotiator and an engaging public speaker, advocate, and influencer. Megan attributes much of her leadership style to strategic and team building skills learned on various sports teams and credits her multiple stints studying and working abroad to raising her awareness of the importance of diverse perspectives, grit and perseverance. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and Université de Paris X, with a Master’s in International Wine Business. Ms. Libby also spent her junior year of high school as an exchange student with a host family, attending Lycée. Her book, Postcards from France, published by Harper Collins in 1997, details the experience. Her mantra is: Success is generated by goodwill and measured in gratitude.
